How is a balanced meal made?

How to prepare a balanced lunch ? And a balanced evening meal ? To simplify your task, remember that a healthy meal  should include 1/3 vegetables, 1/3 starch and 1/3 protein.

Over the week, your menus must therefore be diversified from foods belonging to these five families:

  • animal proteins or not  : red meat or white meat, fatty and white fish, eggs (if you have no cholesterol concerns);
  • raw or cooked fruits and vegetables of various colors;
  • cereals (preferably whole), and pulses;
  • Dairy products ;
  • fatty substances: butter and oils (olive oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, etc.).

And, as a dessert, we always opt for a fruit or a dairy product.
